Q-WHEN DO I NEED A WHOLE HOUSE REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM?

 

A-If your raw well water Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) is above 1000 ppm (parts per million) we recommend a Whole House Reverse Osmosis System.  The highest level for drinking water is 500 ppm, according to EPA standards.  In some areas of NW Cape Coral and Lee County the TDS level is usually 2000-4500 ppm.

TDS consist of chlorides, sulfates and calcium mineral elements.  Salt is a chloride (sodium chloride) and the higher the TDS the higher the salt content which will result in odor and corrosion problems, bad taste, spots on everything, appliance damage, (especially water heaters), plumbing problems, dry itchy skin and unsatisfactory dishwasher results.

 

 Q-WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE WATER PRODUCED?

 

A-Reverse Osmosis purifies water and eliminates most contaminants.   The water delivered throughout your home is equal to or better than most bottled water.  You can drink from every tap in the house. 

 

 

Q-WILL OUR WATER BE “SOFT”?

 

A-Better than “soft”!   Pure water is naturally soft and salt free!   As a bonus, whole house R.O. owners do not experience that “slimy” feeling often associated with salt-softened water.

 

 

Q-WILL MY WATER SMELL LIKE SULPHUR OR HAVE A BAD ODOR?

 

 

A-Absolutely not. There is NO smell from R.O. water. Guaranteed.

 

Q-WILL I HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH SPOTTING SILVERWARE OR CORROSION OF FIXTURES THROUGHOUT MY HOME?

 

A-We have had no green corrosion problems, black spots on silverware or complaints of spots on fixtures or glass shower doors since we started installing WHOLE HOUSE R.O. SYSTEMS.   This is a common misconception of years past, from not correcting RO water PH levels. We also install a large carbon\calcite PH neutralizing filter after the WHOLE HOUSE R.O. SYSTEM to perform a final polish of the water before entry into your home and to adjust RO water PH. PH is monitored monthly during our service. When PH decreases, we will re-bed the carbon/calcite filter. This is included as part of your monthly maintenance agreement. 

 

  Q-WHAT ABOUT BACTERIA IN MY WATER?

 

A-OUR WHOLE HOUSE RO SYSTEMS include Ultra Violet disinfection of the RO water just before entry into your home. We check and replace any UV components as needed with your monthly maintenance agreement.

 

 

Q-WHAT WILL A WHOLE HOUSE R.O. SYSTEM COST FOR MONTHLY MAINTENANCE?

 

A-Water Medic of Cape Coral handles all maintenance for the first year.  After the first 12 months, we offer a maintenance plan for $59.00 per month, which consists of total care of your whole house R.O.

·        CHANGES IN RAW WATER QUALITY OR ALTERATIONS TO EQUIPMENT

      BY ANYONE OTHER THAN WATER MEDIC TECHNICIANS.   

·       THEFT OR VANDALISM

·    TRIPPED GFI

·    EXCESSIVE USE: ie FILLING POOL, WATERING PLANTS, WASHING CAR
